Three Heads In A Row
Kersten Luts has got me again! His awesome, exciting project, Three Heads In A Row, is a great way to show some cartoon-like portraits in tandem with the things that mean something to us.
The brief is simple: turn up with some stuff that means something to you or that reflects your personality. As you can see here with this rather complex first shot, item #1 for me was my drone. Kersten did a great job with this composition, adding the drone into the portrait and spinning the rotors, as well as texturing the background and adding some dew to the shot.
For the next shot I wanted to show my work constantly attached to my laptop as a photographer and writer, so I had my Xencelabs tablet and Quick Keys, keeping the cold look with my Vallerret photography gloves.
For photo #3 we moved away from photography and onto adventure, with my crazy expression as I clutch onto some ice cleats and an ice axe.
I love working with Kersten, especially over on the Camera Shake Podcast. He’s a great guy, and incredibly skilled. He’s on the lookout for more models in the UK for his project so give him a shout for some wacky portraits!
Much love
Dave
